High up the mountain side, tucked into the forest, is a small work shed where Katie, of Arrow + Wander, carves, cuts and creates. A self taught woodworker, Katie spends much of her free time experimenting with salvaged wood. What was once her childhood playhouse, is now in pieces ready to be made into wall panels, a table, and anything else her mind inspires. I love to think that the walls that once housed her childhood dreams will someday live on in the homes of others.
Each piece is specially handcrafted with much detail and care. I was particularly drawn to her beautiful spoons and knives. It was amazing to watch a spoon emerge as she carved away at a piece of 1x4. To view more of Katie's beautiful work, visit her site Arrow + Wander or follow along for updates on her Instagram.
